Saving time and costs, and reducing risk

Even before you start building, property development can cost a lot of time and money - and this means more risk.  First there's the costs of engaging consultants and building designers, paying 'statutory fees'. Also, the longer it takes the more landholding costs you'll pay (repaying loans, property maintenance, insurance, rates, etc.), and there's the risk too of conditions changing - e.g., interest rates may rise, building costs may escalate, or the market may 'turn'', etc.  aup cares about the risk developers face. and have many ways to reduce both the costs and time it takes to start building.
